Laura Wallerstein honored for community service by Ohio State Bar Foundation

Columbus, OH (Apr. 16, 2019) – On Monday, April 15, the Ohio State Bar Foundation (OSBF) awarded its District 11 Community Service Award for Attorneys 40 & Under to Laura Wallerstein.

Wallerstein is currently a shareholder at the law firm of Roetzel and Andress, which is headquartered in Akron. She focuses her practice on real estate transactions, including conveyancing, financial services, property transfers, and condominium and association matters. 

Wallerstein is very active in her community and makes time to lead boards such as the Akron Chapter of the Commercial Real Estate Women’s Group and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Summit, Medina, and Stark Counties. She also is a current member of the Summit, Portage, and Medina Counties Chapter of the American Red Cross Board, as well as the Downtown Akron Partnership Board’s Executive Committee.

“It’s obvious that Laura is dedicated to serving her community with her time and talents,” said Lori Keating, Executive Director of OSBF. “When we honored her with this award, she received a standing ovation, a clear sign of respect for her in the Akron community.”

About the Award: The Community Service Award for Attorneys 40 and Under is presented to attorneys, 40 years of age or younger, who contribute substantial time, talent, and effort serving their community. The service must be outside the recipients’ practice of law and given without compensation. The recipients represent the ideals of the legal profession and, by example, are a credit to the profession. Award nominations for Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 will be accepted through June 1, 2019.
